Ethos

At Wenlock our ethos is to be respectful, kind, honest and trustworthy. We want your child to make the very most of their time with us and so we have high expectations of both work and behaviour. These are reinforced through our school rules, rewards and sanctions.

All children are encouraged to show responsibility and to think of others as well as themselves. We have an active School Council, which allows children to play an important part in developing our school. Older children are invited to work in the school office at lunchtimes and take on wider leadership roles across the school.

Learning and growing together
within the love of God

Our vision is to create a safe and secure learning environment where every pupil is challenged to reach the highest standards they can. We aim to excite and interest our pupils so that they become independent learners who develop the confidence and skills to take responsibility for their own learning. We work together to provide a supportive yet challenging education that engages all children. We recognise that children are individuals whose lives are enriched by their home life and culture, alongside the lessons they learn at our school. Together we work to create a school of happy. confident children who develop habits of good learning that will last a lifetime.
