Academic Year 2016-2017
Total Funding Allocation £10,927
Actual Funding Spent £9,136

At Wenlock C of E Junior School it is our aim to ensure that all children have access to a varied and engaging P.E curriculum. We support this curriculum with an ever growing extra curricular programme which is open to all pupils.

With the Sports Premium we have been able to strengthen both the quality of the curriculum and extra curricular clubs. The school has seen the engagement and demands for a variety of sports grow over the past year; the Sports Premium has allowed us to address this. Our participation and success in competitions has also started to increase, giving more children the opportunity to experience competitive sport.

Swimming (£3360):

Continuing on from last year the school continues to use some of the Sports Premium to pay for every child in Year 4 to participate in weekly swimming lessons. As parents/families do not need to make a contribution to this, participation is very high.
