Year 3 had a fantastic day today at Woburn Safari Park. The weather was kind to us and we saw a whole load of different animals - including some cheeky monkeys who climbed on the roofs of our coaches! We also visited the sea lion and enjoyed a 3D movie afterwards. Some of us caught the Birds of Prey and Elephant shows too. A fun day out had by all!
Wenlock have entered a national competition. The four areas are: Where is God today? Prophecy and Visions; Seeing Jesus and It's Not Fair! Justice and Poverty. Every child in the school took part and it has been very hard to select just the 10 entries. Each child drew a picture under one of the titles and then wrote a short piece about that picture.
Year 3 had a very enjoyable morning at the Luton United Synagogue to conclude their RE topic of Judaism. Children learnt all about the special objects in the synagogue, including the Torah. They also discovered how Jews worship at home for Shabbat and at the Synagogue, including special dress. There was also plenty of opportunities for the children to ask questions. The children were very respectful of Jewish customs and traditions and their behaviour throughout the morning was exemplary.
