Year 3 Pupil 2011

Year 5 Football Tournament

Wenlock attended the annual Year 5 football tournament held at Play Football in Stopsley on Thursday. The school took 9 boys to represent the school which also included a handful of year 4 boys too. After a slow start in the group stages Wenlock finished second in their group and progressed through to the semi finals. They were drawn against St Josephs A team and after a thrilling game they came out victorious with a 3-1 win, this meant they progressed through to the final to face Bramingham – a very strong team. The boys gave their all in the final and played for the Wenlock badge they wore on their chest, they did their school extremely proud and won the final 3-0. This now means Wenlock will be heading to the county finals in mid May where they will represent Luton. A huge congratulations to all the boys who played, the school couldn't be more proud of them...
